Have you ever had one of those weeks when you felt like the Universe was not on your side? This week had been one of those weeks for me. The biggest problem was in my head but whatever. I got through it, and all is well that ends well or something flippant like that. Fear visited me this week, and it was the house guest that would not leave. I think the full moon dropped that monster off when she was passing over. Thanks, Universe. I have no idea if any of this makes sense, but I am grasping for any explanation as to why I have felt so whacky this week. There’s the Universe/full moon thing or this quote:
“Things get harder before you level up. Know that.”
Yeah, let’s go with this quote. Sometimes we have to do whatever is necessary to keep ourselves in the right mindset. I made myself go workout, even though I don’t like it (you can read why I go here), I got up and got dressed up every day, I read positive quotes daily, and I wrote in my daily pages each morning. Life is full of lessons. Some of them we learn through books, some through conversations with others, but the best lessons are learned during the worst times in life caused by our worst mistakes. Pay attention and keep moving forward.
One lesson I did begrudgingly learn this week is that I will always feel behind. Are we ever really caught up? Life moves so quickly, and there’s always something that needs to be done. It was pointed out to me by a very wise woman that we can get sh*t done. What needs to get done will get done, when it needs to get done. This brought me some peace. I know that my life may not be perfect around the edges, but I am slowly making progress. Progress over perfection.
As we go into the weekend, I want to leave you with some tips that I have discovered this week, these two things work every single time:
- If you have lost something, accuse your child of taking it. It will suddenly appear.
- If your phone is dry, get in the shower. It will blow up. Everyone you know will call.
How was your week? Tell me something positive, encouraging, and funny in the comments.
