Grab Something From Your Closet
The 4th of July is just around the corner and I didn’t want to buy anything to wear for just one day, that’s what Halloween is for, am I right? I also wanted something that would take me from the BBQ to the concert followed by fireworks. I always look for pieces that can be worn at least three ways and this shirtdress fit the bill. I have shown two ways but a few other ways to wear a shirtdress are:
- white flip flops and a basket bag
- colorful loafers and a tote
- Gucci mules (or a dupe) and printed clutch
- espadrilles and a Cult Gaia bag
Don’t Forget A Patriotic Dessert
An easy way to ring in the 4th of July is with a simple red, white, and blue dessert. This smores dip looks so yummy, and this strawberry shortcake (trim it with blueberries) looks incredible. Popsicles for the kids are a quick and easy treat, and if you use these molds, making them together is a fun and easy project. Another quick and easy ice cream project for the kids or the grown-ups is this ice cream sandwich recipe.
Don’t Forget The Sparklers
The 4th of July is the one time of year in many states when fireworks are legal (they are legal year-round in Tennessee, yeah country life); so take advantage and go watch the fireworks or put on a show yourself. But always spend a few dollars and carry sparklers along with you!
