A coat is something that you wear every day during the fall/winter without a second thought. You should make sure that your coat not looks great with everything else in your closet but also tops off your outfit with a little something extra too. A simple, elegant, and fantastic coat is a great way to transition your summer pieces through fall. The best coat will allow you to layer it throughout fall and wear it into winter. Below you will find four great coats to get you through both seasons with style.
1) Leopard Coat
This coat never goes out of style. I also have another leopard coat (last seen here), and both instantly make my outfit more polished. Leopard print can be a woman’s best friend if you style it correctly. If you go over the top with your outfit, you may look
trashy risqué. Therefore, keep your clothes simple and classic because the leopard print will instantly dress up your look.
2) Camel Coat
The camel coat is timeless. Therefore, these coats can usually be dressed up or down (depending on the style). This color is perfect to wear with lighter outfits; I love a great tone on tone look by the way. Yet, it’s also versatile enough to pair with darker colors.
3) Trench Coat
A trench coat is a closet staple; it’s the easiest way to create an everyday casual look. You can wear a trench with cute or sassy details to take your look up a notch. Try an oversized waterproof trench for layering purposes. For example, wear it over another coat to carry you through winter. It will give your look a little extra flair and keep you dry in the rain and snow.
4) The Cape
The cape is a huge trend this season. Generally, most capes work best with straight or skinny jeans to keep proportions evened out. However, The Chic Fashionista suggests that if you have an inverted triangle shape bootcut pants might balance your shape better.
They say every woman should have at least one great coat in her wardrobe. Therefore, I say every woman should have at least four great coats in her wardrobe. I do not know who “they” are and I may or may not be a little extra. What are your favorite coats this season?
